About the XOXO design
Hearts stand in for both letter O's, each drawn as a single looping marker line with a sharp notch at the top. The first heart is squeezed between the two X's, its left lobe tucked against the first X and its point sliding under the second. The last heart grows taller and wider, its tip swinging out to the lower right like a pen trailing off the page. Every stroke touches the next, and the X strokes swell into blunt, rounded ends where the marker pressed hardest.
