Where the Tucker name comes from

Tucker is an English surname from the south-west of the country, and it began as the name of an occupation. It is the equivalent of the surname Fuller, another name taken from the same trade. Even so, the origin of the name is disputed. In modern times Tucker has also been used as a male given name, transferred from the surname.
