About the At Sign design

The outer curve wraps most of the way around and then flattens along the right side before tucking under itself in a small hook, the way a fiddlehead fern curls at its tip. That hook stops just short of the inner ring, which sits a little left of center and closes on itself completely. The tail runs out of the bottom of the curve and finishes flat and square, a blunt cut where every other edge is round.
