About the Sofa design

Two rounded boxes overlap, the tall back rising behind the wider lower body so only its top and shoulders clear the front edge. Where they meet, the back's big opening pinches in at both bottom corners and drops into a pair of narrow vertical slots, the inside faces of the arms. A thick straight bar seals the seat line across the middle and stops dead where those arms climb.
