About the Knot Panel Ring design

The knotwork here is cut out of the steel, so the cords show as white strands laced through a broad black band. Each panel is a pointed lens of crossing loops laid along the curve, and its tips pinch in almost to touch the next one, making a closed chain around the ring. A plain black margin edges the band inside and out, and the empty center circle spans well over half the width.
