Celtic Wide Plait Band Metal Sign

About the Wide Plait Band design

Diagonal ribbons cross a panel nearly twice as wide as it is tall, dipping over and under at every meeting. Each ribbon is only a pair of thin steel lines with white between them, so the plait looks like hollow tape. Along the top and bottom edges the strands turn back in a row of rounded arches, like the scalloped hem of lace. At the four corners they fold into sharp pointed loops shaped like almonds.
