About the Art Nouveau Letter L design
The foot of this L refuses to lie flat. Two faces sweep it upward at the right end into a sharp curled tip, like the toe of a pointed slipper, and a wobbly heavy face lifts it into a thick rounded hook. One face swaps the curve for a straight ramp capped with rounded bar ends, while another tapers its stem toward the top and tilts the foot only slightly off level.
