About the Art Nouveau Number 3 design
Round ball ends cap both tips of this numeral in three versions, and the heaviest squeezes its bowls down to small lopsided windows. One slender face trades the middle joint for a curled tendril with its own ball, so the upper bowl hangs off it like a hook. Another flattens the top into a straight bar with a spur shooting up at the left, then swings the lower bowl into a long tail sweeping down to the left. The plainest face slices both ends off at a blunt slant.
