About the Chess King design

Two round lobes meet at the top in a sharp notch, and a plain square post drops from above into that dip, no cross on it, leaving the crown with the same cleft a heart has between its lobes. A wide flat bar cuts straight across the shoulders and runs out past the crown on both sides. The body tapers down to a base whose top corners are rounded off while the lower ones stay square.
