Six heavy rings ride around a smaller one at the center, each tied to it by a spoke no longer than the ring is wide. Two spokes run dead vertical, top and bottom, and the other four slant away to set the outer rings on the points of a hexagon. Steel is thinner around the middle ring than anywhere else, so the weight sits out at the rim. Where each spoke meets its ring, the two swell together into a single blunt shoulder with no seam in the curve.
