About the Lectern design

The microphone head is a solid disc almost as wide as the stem is tall, with a small notch bitten out of its lower edge where the curving neck meets it. That neck rises from the deck in one smooth sweep, like a shepherd's crook. Below, a wide slab caps two trapezoid openings that lean opposite ways, the upper one widening as it rises and the lower narrowing as it drops, with its top corners rounded off.
