About the Lotus Bud design

Deep V notches cut into the top edge and leave three points: a tall narrow one at the center, and two outer ones that are simply the squared upper corners of the shape. The center point rises nearly to the top of the sign, and its sides bow outward in soft curves instead of running straight, closer to a petal tip than a spike. Under the notches the sides drop dead straight for a stretch, then swing into one broad semicircle across the bottom.
