About the Push Pin design

A wide flat bar caps the top and overhangs the two uprights below it, which fall dead straight before kicking outward into shallow diagonals near the bottom. Those diagonals land on a heavy base band, and the gap they enclose spreads as it drops, the shape of a small bell. From the center of that band a single needle runs down, holding its width for most of the way and narrowing to a point only at the very end.
