About the Rising Arrow design

One band of even width runs the whole length, climbing from a blunt cut at the lower left to a sharp peak, dropping into an equally sharp V, then making its longest climb to the upper right. The head is not a filled triangle but two short bars meeting at a right angle, a carpenter's square stood on its corner, with the diagonal running into the inside of that corner. Those two bars stay short, so the head takes up a small fraction of the run below it.
