About the Shield Search design

The shield's top edge breaks into a shallow point at center, then the sides fall straight before curving to a blunt tip at the bottom. Inside, a ring sits high and slightly left of center with a short diagonal handle that runs into the shield's right wall and cuts clean through it, so the border stops dead and picks up again lower down. That handle is stubbier than the ring it hangs from, more a peg than a grip.
